Guys, do we really have to know these pKa values? Sorry for my whining. I'm just sick of this.

World just pimped me with Histidine's: 1.8, 6, 9.2

are there any others to know?

2 and 9 are the PKAs for any amino acid's carboxyl and amino terminals.

Glu/Asp are ~4, Histidine is 6, Arginine and lysine are ~12.5/10.5 respectively. You don't need to know the exact values. Just know that Glutamate, Aspartate, and Histidine is -1 at physiologic pH and Lysine and Arginine are +1, and all other amino acids are neutral.

drizzt, what about exothermic/endothermic reaction and ^G=^H-T^S (^=delta) stuff ? are those high yield?

I wouldn't say they're high yield but just remember that if something has a - ^G it's going to go in the forwards direction and vice versa. I have never seen a question about the second equation.

wow thanks so much drizzt, you just tied like 4 loose end world questions for me into a single line.

i was getting so confused but it all makes sense now and thats decently easy to remember considering that glut/asp have acid in their name
