Anyone reading the news over this weekend (assuming you're not in the midwest with no electricity and shivering to stay warm :scared: ) certainly noticed Hillary's surprise announcement 🙄 about "exploring" a Presidential run.

About six months ago I conducted a poll here, and most indicated they were not concerned about some sort of socialized/nationalized US healthcare by 2010.

Anyone think we need to revisit this possibility?

No, since a woman will never be elected president in our lifetime.

You seem to forget that half of the United States population are women.
I'm guessing that every woman in America will vote hillary and every man will vote for the alternative. LOL

Hell, your wives might even secretly vote clinton and tell you they went republican all the way. LOL

fewer and fewer people think this way. maybe in your lifetime ;-) but i hope to live to see it. our country needs to get over it's idolization of the white male and realize that a great leader can come in any size, race or gender. not saying it has to be Hillary, but it doesn't have to be Mr. Son of Rich White Man. we can see how that is not working out with the current administration.

I just got done watching Hannity and Colms. There was talk about Hillary and a black man running with her as vice president. Its all up in the air, but could you imagine the african american and female voter turnout.

With all the war goin on right now, not sure that the huge issue of socialized healthcare would ever make it to the table, but that is scary.

Prediction: Next president will be Mr. Son of Rich White Man. Let's see if I'm wrong.......

There is no way that women will vote for a woman who is such a beatch. People just don't like her. If someone like Oprah was running, you could safely say she had the woman vote. Every democratic female that I know refuses to vote for her. I agree that you won't see THIS woman as president in our lifetime. She won't even have the support from her own party.

By the way, Hillary was born nine months after the aliens didn't crash at Roswell, NM, in 1947.

Does that mean that Hillary is like the alien hooker in Total Recall? I'd vote for her in a heartbeat if she was a three-er.

I hope the Democrats don’t let Hillary run. A few women will vote for her but her negatives are very high with just about everybody else. I doubt many Republicans will cross over and vote for her and many Democrats like my self would vote against her on principle. I do not think she will pick up many independents. I think she will loose to just about any candidate the Republicans run unless they put up a crook like Delay or a pedophile like Mark Foley.

I am a woman. Heck, I've even been called the 'f' word (feminist). I will NEVER vote for Hilary Clinton. I want first female president of I his country to have her own legitimate political history. She wasn't a national figure at all until her husband got elected president. Boo for riding your husband's coat tails.

On another note, I just thinking it's bad for our country to go from presidentnt bush to president clinton to president bush to president clinton again. And then jeb bush will probably run in 2012 and we'll be back to bush again.

That's my point. Women hate her as much as everyone else (which is a lot). She has no shot.

hmm, I'm only going to say this once. If Mrs. Clinton runs, she will win. My only care is what will she put on her agenda? Healthcare?

dem house, dem senate, dem president. YIKES!!!

She wasn't a national figure at all until her husband got elected president. .

If I may ....

I was in high school during the Watergate impeachment proceedings on President Nixon. We had to watch it during US history class.

Hillary was one of Congress' prosecuting staff attorneys, or some such role. She was a shark and made her name then.

i have to agree that if hilary runs she might really have a shot at winning. i would sooner vote for roger rabbit but i think there are a lot of people who will vote for her. an educated woman would never vote for her for feminist reasons -- she rode on the coat-tails of a man, a decidedly unfeminist thing to do. she backed him, she berated him, etc. based on political agenda. she is not a feminist candidate at all. but, that said -- who are the republicans going to put up? the country has started voting for, just to vote against...i know i did it.... anybody but al gore even though i didn't love bush. and you can never count out the clinton PR machine...they are the best at manipulating the media. i think she might win. rudy g. would be great.

Bill won cause he was a smooth talker. She will lose cause she's a biitch. Not only will she lose but she'll never make it to the finish line because the democratic party knows this. Roger Rabbit is a more attractive candidate even to her own party.

And if hell did freeze over and she won, you would no longer have an immigration problem along the southern border. Mexico would have the problem, since it would be impossible to keep all of us from crossing the border.

i imagine this will be the case. my point is that a female president is becoming less unbelievable. it's not as if women have not held offices of power elsewhere in the world.

personally i would have a hard time voting for Hillary. i'd like to see Obama run in the future after being somewhat more seasoned politically. yes, i know, "america will never elect a black man". and we will never walk on the moon, the berlin wall will never fall, etc.

looking forward, to the future 🙂

If Hillary wins doctors might as well take off their pants, bend over and hope to god she uses KY.

Nahh... I'm not worried. I'll be in Mexico!

hey -- while we are on the subject...how hard is it to go pratice medicine in another country? is it tough? how about as a DO?

am seriously considering another country for many many reasons.... anybody know how tough it is?

I think in other countries they only allow DO's to do their voodoo witchcraft OMM  But seriously, I think there are many countries were DO's are not given a full license. Do a search, I think that I've seen that topic brought up before.

There are reams of threads on this topic on the osteopathic medicine forum, near the top of the SDN homepage.

The only thing republicans have to do to oppose Hillary ( and win 😉) is to have Condi Rice running. Imagine female and minorities turnover 😀
