Hi - does anyone know where I can get a HIPAA compliance certificate online. Apparently I need one to do a visiting elective in the states. Thanks.

If you go to the school's website and search for HIPAA off it you will probably come to whatever test/modules they use for HIPAA compliance. Also, there are some generic HIPAA compliance sites; I believe one is run by the National Cancer Institute. Some schools ask you to go to these generic sites and get certified there. If there is an administrative contact person you can ask, I would check with him/her.

Most schools have their own HIPAA training that you have to do. I have done four or five different courses, since one credit won't count for another hospital. You should contact the school directly.
