I was really hesistant about retaking my DAT, anything to avoid that demon. But it looks like I’m gonna have to retake, I scored a 19, highest score was on gen chem (surprised af) scored a 20, nothing lower than an 18.

So throughout the course of my life I’ll just randomly calculate my gpa at times to reassure myself, seems like I’ve been doing it wrong, this whole time I was expecting a science gpa of a 3.6, it was news to me when it was verified to be a 3.47 instead, overall gpa is 3.33.

Now I feel like I have no choice but to retake my DAT because of the science gpa drop. Also, would I lose my letter of recs if I had my professors upload it directly to my application rather than using sources such as interfolio, if this cycle goes to complete sh**?

How are your extracurriculars? Can you build a narrative of yourself as a strong candidate using the experiences you’ve had and the perspective you’ve gained from them? If so, then I think you could be fine.

If you just took your DAT, a retake would take place mid-Nov, and that would be too late for this cycle.

Yes you would lose them; there isn't any way to save them from this cycle. You can let your professors know your concerns and can ask them to upload it to interfolio, but that may not help because they'll have the date on them & schools would know it's from last year- it might just be better to ask them for updated letters next May.

Are you towards lower end of the curve?Sure, slightly. I'd still apply and I wouldn't be surprised if you got in.

Good luck.
