have a little problem
iam 2 weeks out and it feels like I cant recall anything/ cant read anything without being confused.
I did nmbe 15 on saturday and got 256 but then yesterday was getting destroyed by practice problems and this shot my confidence. Iam reviewing first aid now for one last pass and forgot a ton of stuff [biochem, havent reviewed it since late january] and I am starting to freak out bc it feels like iam cramming rather then refreshing my memory.
Did I over extend myself? Am I in big trouble/showing signs of someone who has past their plateau?

You are doing well and don't be hard on yourself.
What you are experiencing is an entirely normal human re/action.
You have already done the hard work and now is the time to hold it all together.

I suggest taking a weekend break to a Theme Park and getting on all the rides.
That should freshen you up and prepare you for the big day.
This sounds like an unusual advice but works very well.

thanks for the advice guys. I just have a fear now of doing questions, its like "what if this block doesnt go well again"
I can totally relate to that feeling exactly. Its normal. I too began to get almost scared of doing UW blocks lol. You need to remind yourself that questions you get wrong are opportunities to learn and reinforce and that its not the real thing.
Take a day off.
This sounds weird, but when you get back into the final stretch, take a deep breath...think about your future test day self and remember that you're trying to set up him/her for success (as if it were a good friend and not even you). Engaging in catastrophic thinking and being scared to make mistakes now (when in reality they have NO repercussions at all) is not doing them any favors. You gotta keep calm, confident, and cowboy up. Right now you've put in the grunt work for 3 years. No more getting lost in nitty gritty details; they will come back when they need to and you wont need nearly as many as you think. It's all about maintaining a cool, collected birds eye view during this final stretch of studying. You can do it and your future self will love you for it. The number one avoidable mistake is letting the perfect be the enemy of the (very) good.

Take a day off, bud.
Go fishing, camping, hiking, shopping, take a shot or whatever u kids do to relax nowadays.
Do something that doesn't involve mental stimulation. You need a break. After ur day off, get back to some light studying. The last thing you want to do before ur exam is freak out. You have been doing very well so far (according to ur NBME score).

Chillax, everything will be alright.

When is your exam? Sitting on a 256 is a great problem to have.

As others said, you are probably a bit burned out. Go out and have some fun.

Yea, I agree with everyone else. Sounds like you need to take a little break. If you can't relax and do nothing for a day because you get anxious about not studying, just listen to Goljian or watch some pathoma videos for a while.

Just go get laid. No, never mind. God forbid you might go down to a 250. Love your username FATALis.
