Seems like a monoclonal antibody would be an interesting route to pursue, given the difficulties that have historically plagued HIV vaccine efforts. Granted, it's not a preventative approach, but it seems like it might be an effective stopgap until the scientific and societal hitches can be worked out.

The talk in the article revolves around vaccine production... Which is awesome.

I wonder if in the short term, they could develop a drug similar to the way IVIG is used? Possibly adding it as a component of HAART?
