Hofstra post-bac or informal post-bac work?

Applied to both Upenn and Hofstra's programs and only got into Hofstra, although I was vastly more interested in Upenn due to location/in-state, etc.

Hearing so little about Hofstra's program now has me somewhat concerned and thinking about applying for some Philadelphia undergrad programs and using the semester to take a few classes and re-apply to Upenn this spring. I would consider transferring from Hofstra, but knowing I'd re-apply elsewhere makes little since to go to a school that far away for one semester.

Any thoughts or advice?

This also may be a good thread to learn a little about Hofstra? It seems information on the program is pretty dismal.
