Hi,

Is it normal for schools to place you on "hold" until all your requirements are turned in?

For example, you attended your interview but all your rec. letters are not turned in yet. Do schools normally put you on hold until the letters are turned in?

I would assume most schools would want all your letters in before any decision is made. Or possibly depending on the number of letters they've received so far, it might be possible that they conditionally accept you if your package is strong enough already. It probably all depends on your package and the school.

Has this been this case with any school in particular for you?

SUNY. i had 1 of 3 rec letters in at the time of the interview. The 2nd letter just came in this week and i am missing 1 letter now.

I don't know forsure if i'm hold because of letters though. They never brought my grades or OAT at the interview so i assume it is 😕

Was accepted to PCO without having my LORs completed, "technically." Acceptance to PCO is a cake walk though. SUNY ... yeah complete everything they ask ASAP. The TIER 1 schools want their work done right.

anyone hear anything or get accepted recently from SUNY after being on "hold"?
