Hold status

In my frantic F5-ing of the Case Western status page, I found that I have been put on (post-interview) hold. I'm pretty much broken about this - I fell kind of in love with Case. My first impulse is to call, email, or otherwise contact every physician I've shadowed or worked with/for for any significant period of time and ask for a letter of recommendation/support/whatever. Is this a good idea? Will it just piss off the admissions office to get 3-5 letters for an applicant? (The docs have all gotten good impressions of me, as far as I know)

Any other tips/ideas?

I wonder about this too (Hold at Mich, Case). It really depends on the school in question- Mich said they don't care much for letters of interests, etc and that they will only accept updates via secondary page. I'm not too sure about Case, but I've heard that people get accepted after a "Hold" without doing anything.

From my understanding...Case's hold list does move. I'm sure with your stats, laina, you'll be in. You better...we need to have cute girls at Case (if I attend haha).

I'm on hold too at case. I'm a little upset, my whole day went really well and I couldn't have asked my interviews to go nay better. I guess we should just move on and start a vigorous letter writing strategy.

me too. it's my second waitlist, no acceptances yet. loved the school, very disappointed.

I don't have one at case, but i've got 4 holds. As annoying as they are, things can still turn out well. I wouldn't worry to much about it now, it's still just October.

They really want updates. But a case student said they don't really care about intent letters. As far as extra LORs I'm not sure.
