Do we really need to send our LORs to amcas first?? Can't we just send them to the schools we're applying for during our secondaries? I have all my letters except one, which i'll be receiving at the end of this month.

what the heck? someone explain please.

You must send your letters to AMCAS...almost all of the schools are getting their letters exclusively from there this cycle (i.e. they will not accept letters sent to them in any other way). No way around it.

let's say i have 9 out of ten letters already. Should i send nine now and do i have the option of adding another one at the end of this month?

if i can't... should i just wait to the end of the month? Is this too late already? AHHHH

just submit your AMCAS now. you can send in your last LOR later. schools don't care about LORs until after you're invited to fill out a secondary and you've submitted it.

for more detail, read the Help of AMCAS, look under LORs. answers to all your questions are there.

Also, most schools only accept up to 5 LORs at this time, so unless the one you're waiting on is highly important, I'd go ahead and submit them. Plus, it's easier to just send them to AMCAS and then have AMCAS deal with sending them out (free) rather than using Interfolio or VE to do so and paying for each school you send them to, imo.

Thanks for the help guys. You'll make great doctors 😀

Where's the help on amcas thing you were talking about?

Also, my last letter is VERY important. Should I still turn in my primary now and wait til' later this month to send my letter in to amcas?
