Which job is more difficult to obtain and which job would allow more transition from one to the other?

The part-time hospital ICU job is a company job dealing with ICU within a larger hospital. The full-time PBM job is half PAs, clinical review of claims, etc. and half developing clinical guidelines tailored to clients' needs and finding ways to save money and increase care for the clients.

Well, both would be difficult, but since their are more hospital ICU jobs, then their are PBM jobs, the PBM would be the more difficult job. Especially, since it is full-time. It sounds like you are looking at specific jobs....apply to both, and then you will have your answer, as to which one was more difficult to get. For transitioning, it would be easier to transition from hospital to PBM, then the other way around.

I’ve noticed many hospitals require acute care experience. How would this be considered

I don't know if it's true that there are more ICU/Critical Care Pharmacist positions than PBM positions, but the barrier to entry for the former is much higher.
