Position Description
:
The Hospitalist will be responsible for the medical care of inpatients and admissions. The position has a manageable patient load and opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Block schedule model of 12 hour shifts allows for ample time off. Weeks consist of 7 shifts with a Tuesday through Monday schedule, averaging 12 hours per day during scheduled blocks, followed by 7 days off. Coverage of approximately 12-18 inpatients, with usual daily census at 15-16, including admission of 1-2 patients per shift will be performed with a Physician Assistant. RRT coverage/response is required. No ICU or procedure requirements. CPOE is essential. Most specialties are available for consult.

Requirements: Board Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine with strong communication and interpersonal skills, clinical judgment and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
