Technology hotsync troubles

heya,
have left my palm alone for a while. tried hotsyncing, but each time i get 'fatal alert: MemoryMgr.c, Line:3771, free handle. reset'.
have reset it several times, but get the same thing when i hotsync again.
what is going on, and what do i need to do?
would be v grateful for your help and advice oh technologically knowledgable ones!

What model Palm do you have? What programs are installed?

You may have to do a hard reset and just re-install everything if it doesn't correct itself.

these are the programmes, which i installed months ago. i haven't installed anything recently. also haven't used it for a while. hard reset? oh dear...
i can't really think of anything i've done to cause this.
