Hello, I was wondering what hours are dental assistant needed the most, mornings or afternoons?
If I was only going to work for 6 hrs a day would it be acceptable for me just to work 9am-3pm? When does it get really busy at a dental office?

I'm only asking this because I want to get another job from 4pm-12am.
Thanks for any replies

Depends on the office (type of practice and schedule management) and somewhat on the time of year. For instance, most offices are busy early in the morning and late in the afternoon. People like these appts because they miss the least amount of work. Lunch time can be busy as well. Pediatric clinics are really busy later in the day because some parents don't like to take their children out of school for appts. Some offices schedule to an "ideal day" with the major operative appts earlier in the day and taper off towards the end. Adult clinics can be really busy all day during November and December because people want to max out their insurance before the end of the year. So as you can see, schedules can vary substantially from practice to practice. Best bet for you is to be up front with the dentist and see if you can work something out that fits your schedule.
