hours per week in anesthesia?

Wow preop clinic is great to me.. time flies there.

I used to have our department scheduling system hardcoded to print "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." any time someone tried to assign [pgg] to the preop clinic.

We do have a few people who don't mind it though. To each their own. 🙂
 
Based on my experiences before school, I believe that working in a nice (read not old and cheap) OR with decent staff, and most importantly, great surgeons is far more important than choosing a job based on working 50 vs 60 hours a week. I couldn't do 45 hours a week making 450k while working in a ****hole with awful circulators and surgeons who don't police each other and are oblivious and slow. I will avoid places that allow surgeons to book 9 elective cases in a day that should only be doing 3 or 4 at most.
