LOL i won't say what happened, but that show motivates me! Is that bad that a show can do that to me?

I love house. He says what everyone is thinking but is to PC to say. Cracks me up.

I'm glad they got the big cheese off the show. I was really annoyed with that jacka--.

I duuno, he still might be around in some capacity in the future.

U know what i love about the show.......it's how they show what's going on inside the body sometimes. I wish they had that technology to teach us in school 🙂 It would make things so much more understandable

Are you kidding me?

You must have never been in a hospital or worked around physicians before.

House MD is the worst medical show ever written.

Not only are all of the medical procedures grossly incorrect, but the behavior of the staff is completely unlike anything seen in real life.

It's called "TV". No one said it was real. cranky cranky.

Yup.

Scrubs is much better though.

That House guy is annoying, and he is rude to everyone. He even made sexual advances at nuns. What a jerk.

DAMN, i missed it. Oh well. House MD is a kickbutt show.

And this is why it's popular. I read on the House FOX forums and there was this Military Medical Doctor totally getting heated because of how Laurie's character just gives people meds without testing them, in addition to his total disrespect for the people he's responsible for and his staff and higher ups. Of course he has a valid point and any doctor doing that irl is in the wrong but it's t.v. It's drama and certainly a bunch of writers aren't going to make sure the medical procedures 'performed' are accurate. The general public doesn't know what the hell's going on anyway so it's easy for them to do crazy stuff. I don't think there's anything on t.v. that accurately depicts real life. Not even 'reality t.v.' with all of the edits that go on.

I agree. Popular for the general public. Not for medical students. At least we have scrubs.

I hope they bring Cameron back.

Do they air "Scrubs" on public television? Never seen it.

If you know any actual medicine, then those fake shows are annoying. So yes.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Trust me -- I know a great deal of actual medicine. HAHAHA  Oh man you really are growing a ripe ego out there at the good ol' OSU college of osteopathic medicine. Too funny. Sounds like someone needs a rectal exam -- something's lodged pretty snug up there. Man oh man. Some of us are able to suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy a television show. We're all smart enough to know it's not a documentary. 🙄

I guess I should check out scrubs or rent a dvd or something. I've never really watched it or know nothing about it. Of course other than the medical part.

i love this show...i think house is a character with depth🙂 and, the lines he says crack me up🙂

House rules, scrubs is annoying. Suspend your disbelief for an hour once a week.

I love House! I just love the fact that the team is confronted with the strangest problems, ones they have never seen before, and House ends up putting it all together at the end. He may be rude, but he does his job well. Of course its TV, so the procedures may not be accurate.

I think Scrubs offers med students much needed comic relief! 🙂

I'm starting to find House intolerable, although it's entertaining at the same time. I can suspend a certain amount of disbelief about technical issues, but it gets to me when they take the same liberties with human nature. The recent conflict between House and Vogler was really annoying--I don't think anyone with any self respect would have stayed in their job under those circumstances unless they were totally desperate, which didn't appear to be the case for House.

I second that. I thought she was going to be rehired after that vogler guy left.

She's going to start up her own House type practice and Vogler is going to fund her so that she can steal all of House's patients.

Yeah, they're going to bring her back. She's a super hottie.

I really like House. Of course, it's a little weird how the residents are doing everything.....working in the lab, delivering babies, chatting with each other, counting meds, delivering meds, performing all sorts of surgery, the list goes on and on. It's a TV show, though, so it's okay that it isn't all perfect. Do you think CSI or Law and Order are accurate depictions of their respective fields?

Haven't seen Scrubs. Maybe I'll get to catch some this summer.

so what happened this week? i missed it.

The patient for the episode was a pregant woman at 28 weeks. The team thought it was cancer in stage three or something and I think found out it was something else as always. Anyway, she already miscarriaged three times in her previous marriage (that her present husband had no clue about). So opted to keep the kid and die instead of taking treatment. So she develops a blood clot, had to do emergency surgery and also take out the baby. She died because of it. While all this is happening Volger holds a meeting to vote House out. Everyone votes except Wilson (his best friend). So Volger asks Wilson to leave and they were going to vote Wilson out. Cuddy doesn't vote for Wilson's removal and Volger holds a third vote for Cuddy. Cuddy says that they won't get any decision if Volger stays. In the end, Volger leaves with his 100 million and everyone's back together. Oh and the kid is fine too.

On a male/female ratio, it's Cameron and Cuddy against House, Wilson, Foreman, and Chase. They will either have to bring Cameron back or give the show estrogen shots to balance out the guys.

I love the way House tramples over rules to save a patient... probably what a lot of dr.'s would love to do but can't... But what good is a TV show if it doesn't play on somebody's fantsy? 😉

They are not residents. They are all specialists in a certain area. Foreman "Omar Epps" is a neurologist. If they were residents half the procedures they were doing could not be done without supervision of an attending. They are just part of the department of diagnostic medicine. With house being the Chief of the department.

Indeed correct. They were given 2 year fellowships to work with House. The premise was that this was an incredible position to get because House is so good at what he does, so they are the "best of the best" young doctors.

Ad I have to agree, I think house is great as well. asily my favorite show on TV right now.

Is House on any time besides Tuesday evening? For example, Apprentice is reaired twice on MSNBC on Fridays. House is on at the same time as my two favorite shows (Scrubs and Amazing Race), but I want to check it out....

I was thinking the same thing, they seem to all be all stars at least. I think the one dude was right, its just a show. I can't really imagine working all day and then watch a show like that, then again I don't watch much TV besides 24. I started watching house because I liked the idea of a politician with a bizzare disease

I adore House, the show and character, but we really need the eye cand, i mean, intelligent female back on.

Anyone familiar with Blackadder? Love it. I have the whole run on DVD. Hugh is awesome.
