This questions is specific to UCLA, but applies to other medical schools as well as I'm trying to learn what to look for in housing deals.

For graduate housing at UCLA at the same complex, a studio apartment costs $1,580 a month, but a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment costs $1,460 a month. Why is this? Studio apartments are really small and cramp. Why would it be more expensive?

Perhaps Thats $1580 for one person in studio
And $1460 for EACH of two people in a two bedroom or $2920 total
It is this. Source: double checked with them when I called earlier this summer.

UCLA grad housing is also SUPER nice. Plus, the price is competitive for LA. The housing market is crazy, especially with more tech companies moving to LA (google is opening up ANOTHER huge campus in a former mall not far from UCLA).
