I am reapplying this cycle and have a 3.73 cGPA and 3.7 sGPA. First MCAT was weak, 25R (10BS, 8PS, 7VR). Extracurrics are decent except I don't have any research or paid medical experience. (I have a lot of shadowing, volunteering, and nonmedically related extracurriculars.)

So far I've been hitting the MCAT really hard and have scored a 32, 30, and 33 on AAMC's 3, 5, and 7 tests, respectively. How am I looking? I take on July 14th and will be submitting my application soon.

If you get one of those scores you should be okay... kind of late though, so get your secondaries in ASAP

Thanks for the feedback, will get AMCAS in ASAP! just kinda have writer's block with my personal statement is my only hindrance right now...

Mish,

I'd say that you are looking pretty good as long as you hit your average! If you hit 30, for example, with that GPA it gives you approximately a 70% chance of getting accepted somewhere. Definitely apply to your state schools and any other schools that are OOS friendly or that you have close ties with. As SBB mentioned, get your secondaries in within a week or two after you receive them. You can look at the Pre-Allo school specific thread for the prompts in case you would like a head start.
Best of luck!

Taking into account a 2-3 week time frame for writing a PS, you should get to work.
