How are classes taken during highschool at CC factored?

Hello.

I have recently learned that classes taken at CC are also factored into my AMCAS GPA.

In high school my parents forced me to take calc 1 and chem 1 over the summer I didnt do good and got a C and C+ in them respectively.

During college freshman year I did not have a good study strategy and did not do well in those classes and got a C in them too.

However I took calc 2 and got an A and I got an A in chem 2 and orgo 1 and orgo 2.

I do realize that my GPA will be quite low due to this and not sure how to proceed.

Every class you have ever taken in a cc, college or university is factored into your GPAs for AMCAS and AACOMAS. But ADCOMS can see when you took the classes and hopefully they will see vast improvement over the succeeding years. What year are you in now? What is your cGPA and sGPA? We can’t really help you without more information.

Is that including all of your classes, even the ones taken in high school ? Keep working hard. Work on your ECs, do very well on the MCAT and see where you are in a year . Then you can make plans. You might also research DO schools. Good Luck!

No i have not factored in the ones from the community college, how can i go about doing that?

Unfortunately every time you take the class it counts against your GPA so you'll need to add them both twice (once for CC during high school and once for when you took it in college)
