How are long from receipt of your LOR's are you complete?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
my LORs got uploaded 8/3 (Friday) and my first completion came the following Wednesday. I still have a couple of schools who list my LORs as not being received. A couple of schools also say they're certifying my LORs or something similar, whatever that means.

Just wondering how long I should wait for notification that I'm complete after LOR's are sent.

It's different for every school. Some schools update your status page everyday, and will tell you if your LORs have been received and whether your application is complete. Others take some time for their systems to "register" receipt of LORs.

Well from the day of arrival, it should be done within a week for most. However, Pitt took almost one month (of being signed and delivered). Most schools will tell you how long it takes to process, but a generalized statement can't really be made. USC said 4-6 weeks because they have to scan them in. It took 2 days when I submitted it (I guess relatively early). My suggestion is to wait after you think 1 week has passed since when you think they received it before calling. ALSO, most schools do not personally notify you of completion. They make that your responsibility.

So, if your LOR has been sent online via something like VirtualEvals, it should not *theoretically* take long?

My VE LORs were "received" by some schools a day or two after they were uploaded while other schools still have not recognized they have been received (uploaded on 7/30...)

2 weeks after you got an email from VE telling you your letter was uploaded?

no, my letters were uploaded 7/10, and the Keck secondary didn't come out until after that. After I submitted the secondary, it took USC about 2 weeks to DL my letters and mark me as complete.

And here I've been feverishly checking my email the last couple of days looking for signs of completeness 🙄

Cornell doesn't even do VE. They either mail the LOR's or electronically submit the LOR's via their "own software system."
