Hi guys

I am an American, but I am MSII in Grenada at SGU. How are most US basic science courses constructed? I know down here, everything is one semester (one of anatomy, one of physio, one path, one pathophys, etc...). Also, we have 2 exams for each class, each exam encompasses a lab practical (if there is a lab). I have heard that IU (my home state is IN) has something like 5 exams per term? Is this normal? How are your courses? I really like my school, and the set-up doesn't bother me (although I can see the advantage of a semester of general path followed by systemic or some variation), I'm just curious... Thanks!

It depends. Some schools have discrete classes over a semester system like yours. My school is systems based and does it in the form of modules where everything is integrated together.

We've had 10 tests... the length of all of our stuff is variable so tests are spread out. Anatomy took a semester while biochem and genetics took a month and a half.
