  2. Medical College of Wisconsin
  3. Penn State
  4. Vermont
  5. VCU
  6. Geisinger
  7. GW

Start list with WashU and work outwards.

He's an URM with superb ECs, although his stats are well below the 10th percentile at these schools. Not to get into a conversation about URMs - but you are more sanguine than many about his prospects at top-20 schools. The 'Dawg's guide gave him about ten points for his URM status and ECs. Patient outcomes are riding on this...but have you seen URMs with his stats and ECs get into schools like Harvard?

Never, ever underestimate the fondness Admissions deans have for student athletes. URM or no, maintaining a 3.5 GPA as a D1 player is no mean feat.

And yes, I have seen plenty of URM SDNers like OP get into Really Top Schools. Other Adcoms here have commented as positively on similar candidates.

Somebody has to be in the < 10th %ile.

Keep in mind that LM scores and the WegdeDawg rubric are just that, rules of thumb. they're not Biblical mandates, and it also highly likely that Admissions deans have never heard of them.
