My grades in my earlier years were somewhat below average-average. But I did retake all the classes with the exception of Bio Lab and made A's in them. I also have a pretty good upward trend. I will be taking the MCAT in April and depending on the score one more time in August. However, is there any way that some of you can tell me how competitive my grades are thus far?

I still have this semester left over where I have to take Physical Chemistry II, Physical Chemistry II Lab, and Inorganic Chemistry.

Why on earth did you retake C/C+ courses?

What are your ECs? What are your other grades? What is your usual practice MCAT? Can you communicate?

I retook them because I have to take the MCAT and I literally didn't learn anything the first time around. I was studying for Bio the night before exams rather than reading a section every other night. I also wanted to show ADCOMS that I can learn the pre-requisite material and I took upper level classes to show that I can learn more advanced material as well. I haven't taken a practice MCAT. Note that I didn't ask what my chances are to get into medial school. I'm simply asking if my GRADES are competitive. Can you read and comprehend?

Kindly let us know your cumulative GPA and then figure out your BCPM GPA and share it. For MD school applications you must include both grades in the calculation if you retake a class.

BCPM: 3.58
cGPA: 3.69

The reason I posted all my grades is because with just the BCPM and cGPA, it looks like my grades are at least O.K. I was more interested how much the C+'s will draw a red flag towards ADCOMS and how much the upward trend will affect me.

No one gives a shi t about a few C whatevers. Your gpa's are fine. The bolded section is not.

It doesn't matter how competitive your gpa's are if the rest of the package isn't there.

I understand that, thanks for the response.

In my opinion, many schools will care about Cs in prerequisite courses, but they can be redeemed by repeating and getting an A, or by getting higher grades in upper-level courses. You've done both, so the Cs are now a non-issue.
