How are retake grades calculated?

They count both grades as if they are separate courses.

From AADSAS website:

Courses that have been repeated. Both grades from repeated courses are used in calculating the ADEA AADSAS GPA, even if this is not the policy of your college/university.
 
Thanks. One more question: If I took graduate/professional-level courses in an SMP, should I list them under "postbacc/undergrad", "graduate" or "professional" category???

From what I know, SMP (special master program) count towards "graduate" GPA rather than undergrad. GPA. I don't know for sure since I never did SMP but that is what AADSAS told me when i called them.
