How're you guys doing in the Berkeley Review Chemistry books? I've done the first 2 passages in the first book, First: 84, Second: 91 .. working on the third. According to the scale, that put me at a 13-15. But.. how accurate is this?

You are SERIOUSLY kicking some a$$! The average student gets about 61% correct on the general chemistry passages and then goes on to get about 10.5 on the PS section.

BTW, what version (copyright) do you have?

I have the 2000 version (it's 3 books)
I'm actually a retaker... took it in August and got a 10 on PS (normally scored 11-13).. I think I just remember stuff from when I studied earlier..

it's really helping though 👍.. there simply wasn't enough practice w/Kaplan and Examkrackers. I have to admit though, examkrackers helped bigtime with the concepts.. and your books are good for practice. My previous attitude was, "ehh.. I know the math.. when test time comes, I'll be able to do it." For some reason it worked on the AAMCs.. but the real thing isn't close to them.

digital version or print version for 2000? There are some things that have been revamped.

it's the one on paper.. I didn't know you guys had digital ones

I: stoich, atomic structure, equilibrium, acids, buffers + titration
IIA: gases, phases, thermochem
IIB: kinetics, electrochem

That's a good version. When we did a major revamp of the books during 2000, we printed a temporary book II, and there were very few. It sounded weird when you said three books, because there used to be a chemistry passage book we had years ago. We split it up into test-taking skill packets and chemistry review packets. It is now an in-house digital passage set.

Why didn't you get the 2007 version?

I basically got all the BR books for free from a friend.. I'll glance through the physics and biology (I probably won't use the OChem one much since the topics have changed)
