Are you still taking the time to read through all answers and explanations? What would be the best way to go through it?

I'm doing this now and it's taking ridiculous amounts of time (out of curiosity, on average how much time do you spend reviewing a single set of 46?). I want to optimize how I spend round 2.

I had about 3 months between my first pass and my second pass.

Overall % on first pass: 78
Overall % on second pass: 95

I did 7 blocks per day on the second pass to simulate exam conditions, took me about 5 hours to answer questions and then another hour to look at what I thought was important. That left me with 4 hours of other studying time.

How did you mix this in with your actual NBMEs?

I'm planning to push through my 2nd run through in my final 2 weeks, but I also want to mix in the 2UWSA (which I have not done) and then at least 2 NBMEs. But of course I want to leave in time to review all the questions I'm doing...

The UWSA's can be taken and reviewed in a day each. They have good explanations, but only for the correct answer choice. The explanations for the incorrect answers are very curt - I generally skipped them

First pass: 72% (random, timed)
Second pass: 89% (only about 400 questions into my second pass)

I've been doing blocks of questions in the afternoons (after a morning of studying) in order to simulate doing questions when I'm not 100% fresh. I already annotated pretty heavily into my FA from my first pass, so I've got a notebook that I've been writing notes and copying figures/diagrams from my second pass into. Usually I just do write-ups on the questions that I get wrong (since technically I shouldn't really be getting any wrong on the second pass). This helps me hammer down those key concepts that I missed from my first pass. I still read the explanations for the questions I get right, but it's usually just a cursory skim to make sure there's not a major point that I forgot about.

I can usually make it though a block plus explanations in around 3 hours, give or take about 15 minutes. I'm a fairly quick test taker, and I usually finish my blocks with around 10 minutes to go.

3 hours on your second pass?

What do you guys suggest for practice tests? Do you guys do daily or every other day, and then just UW on the days in-between?

Also to avoid making another topic, what's the consensus on the best in order... if I only took 2-4 NBMEs, I should go with...?
