Other than the oms program overview here on SDN, what other ways have you found to learn about programs. The things I’m currently doing:

1. Planning externships
2. Scavenging the internet
3. When possible trying to reach out to current residents

Some programs are tough to learn about. What else can I be doing to find more info regarding individual programs?

Thanks!

Tried to send you a DM but settings say I can't message you

Could you also message me? I'm interested in learning how to research program thank you.

I can message people individually to protect anonymity but in general there is no way you're gonna learn about programs without talking to residents/graduates of that program. They will be more familiar than other people. Second best is people who have externed at the program.

It's essentially all word of mouth. There is no magic directory or website that is going to give you in depth information, but going on each program's website is always a good place to start to find out things about the program structure and curriculum etc.

If you want the most hands on experience:
-USC
-Parkland
-NYU
-LSU NOLA
-LSU Shreveport

I’m sure there are many others. Good luck.
