I am in my last semester of my postbac and I'm bracing for a C. My classes/grades for my postbac have been pretty good so far:
Chem 2 - A
Chem 2 lab - A
Biology 1 - A
Biology 1 lab - A
Biology 2 - A
Biology 2 lab - B
Orgo 1 - A
Orgo 1 Lab - A
Psychology - A
Sociology - A
Orgo 2 - C (projected)
Orgo 2 lab - B (projected)
Biochem - summer
cGPA: 3.12
sGPA: 3.35
MCAT 510-515 (projected from NS FL)
Last 120 credits:
cGPA: 3.64
sGPA: 3.60
White male 24yrs old from Florida
I have 42 dual enrollment credits at a 2.44 that didn't count towards my degree so that's why I'm at 201 credits.
Worked full time throughout undergrad and postbac. Got a 506 on NS FL1 with 3 more months of study so I am assuming 510-515 is a fair projection.
My big question is should I focus less on the MCAT and more on pulling my C up to a B in Orgo II? My guess would be a B in Orgo 2 would drop my MCAT 1-2 points. I know that my upward trend/MCAT combo is the only thing that might get me into a DO school so I'm wondering how bad a C would hurt my chances.
