How bad would it be to drop calculus?(A in stats, C+ in precalc) I am not confident in my ability to take it without ruining my health.

Listen these 6 months I’ve dropped my GPA so hard because I had 0 access to healthcare since government layoffs(3 C+/Cs in a row). Now I’m finally on Medicaid getting diagnosed but is not looking good (midst of figuring out if it’s autoimmune or cancer, waiting for PET/CT scans). I finally have accommodations but I don’t think it will be enough for this class since one of my symptoms is terrible brain fog(still figuring it out).

I got a C+ in precalc because I was in severe pain and now I wonder how a W in calculus will look on my transcript. (Got an A in statistics though).

Believe it or not, I had a really nice streak of straight As before my health crumbled before me and I could not afford the note for a medical withdrawal because I didn’t even have access to my prescriptions. I’m not whining, I know I’m capable but it’s hard to focus when you’re in near constant pain, fatigued, and your brain processes things slower.

My premed advisor said it made sense for my case but I don’t know.

If you don't have a pattern of W's already, this is an appropriate situation to withdraw. Only take classes again when you're at a better place health wise. Is this the only class you are taking right now?
Besides calculus, I’m taking organic chem II(orgo I lab), genetics(with lab), and a literature class. Never had a W. I really thought I would have been my old healthy self again by now when I signed up for the classes, but who knew appointments were spaced so far apart and that my therapies need time to kick in? Not me.

I am able to study for genetics. I also have a really phenomenal orgo professor. I try to go to every office hour session I can for both of them and know every TA’s email.

No one will care

I had something like 6-8 Ws and my first IIs were to a UC as an out-of-stater and an Ivy. I repeated calculus, too! Don't make it a habit to drop, but also don't be a hero and accept an F if the math is no longer mathing.

Yeah take the W for calc and if you are doing well in those other classes, continue on with them. Be cautious when registering for spring classes but you should have a good idea by finals this semester of how you are feeling.

The concern with the W is when someone has a 4.0 and appears to be in the habit of protecting the "perfect record" by dropping any course that would hurt that. You are certainly not in that camp so no worries. Take care of your health and calc will be there when you are ready.
