So, I talked to people who are going to write me a letter for the school and I am wondering how you submit it.

Do you provide the references' email address and name and the ADEA will send each references the blank letter and the people submit it that way? That is how it works for some graduate school program in my school, but I am wondering if it is the same way for dental school...

Yes that is correct. AADSAS sends each person you designate an email to the address that you provide. The email has a link to submit the letter.

You input their names and info into AADSAS after it opens and it will send them emails with a link for them to upload the letter.

I see. So, I am assuming that the earliest time you can enter the email address & names would be June 1st, 2014?

I am just curious.. why do people use interfolio then?

Interfolio lets you collect letters earlier and stores them until you're ready to upload them AADSAS. For example, I already have 3 letters collected by professors/dentists who wrote them this semester - that way I do not have to hunt them down in June and hound them about getting it in ASAP. However, if your letter writers won't write them til June - you're better off having them upload them directly to AADSAS as that will be quicker for them. But keep in mind - Interfolio will store your letters for you (if you need to reuse them if you have to reapply, or wish to use the letters for another job/internship/etc...)

Thank you for your input!

Can you read the letters that your professor or dentist write? What if they wrote it a long time ago and on a word doc. Can I save them to interfolio myself?
