How come no one's posting on the official AMCAS Verification thread this year?

I think it'd be nice if more of you applicants of this upcoming cycle posted your verification history in this thread:

Last year by this time there were over 230 posts, but right now there are only 33. It's probably because it's not being bumped to the top of the pre-med allopathic forum every time someone posts, but it'd be nice if more people posted on that thread so we can get a good idea of how long verification takes...

i didn't post, cause i couldn't find it until you posted the link to the thread. it's not linked in the sticky yet. i'm uber new and so don't know how to fix that. maybe once it's put into the applicant sticky, more ppl will get on the posting.

Part of the reason that I haven't posted is that I'm waiting until I get verified. With everyone copying and pasting to add that they've submitted, the thread is kind of pointless. Everyone goes and edits their own when they get verified, but it's buried within all of the posts. The most recent post doesn't actually have the most recent information.

you can make a new post after you are verified, updating your original one within the string.

You could, I guess. For me, since the only point of that thread is so that people know where they stand in line to be verified, it accomplishes the same goal to wait and post once that happens. If I look and see that everyone that submitted on 6/2 doesn't have a verification date, it's the same thing as if I'd looked and only seen people who submitted on 6/1 and are verified posting.

When your AMCAS is verified, you can make a new post containing your verification date. That's general what has been done in the past.

i submitted 6/1 at 11:37 am and transcripts were received 6/2. why am i not verified yet?

It takes time for them to compare your transcript with your AMCAS, course by course...
