How come only 25 ppl applied for UC Berkeley/SF Joint Prog?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
probably because its a program within UCSF, and not a unique institution.

yeah and you can only really apply to it after you get a secondary from ucsf - so thousands of ucsf applicants, like me, get rejected before they can apply to that program

Can that number be right!? It's hard to believe that out of the 1000 or so secondaries UCSF sends out, only 25 people decide to apply to the joint program. That means they would have to interview more or less all 25 applicants in order to guarantee their class size of 12... And I know for a fact that's not the case (personally rejected last year). 😕 Ah well. Many things in life are puzzling.

yeah you're right, 25 does still seem too small
