Hey all!

Maybe I'm just getting neurotic because I haven't heard from anywhere in a while, but I was wondering how common late interview invites were?

Like, I completed most of my apps in July (with a few stragglers in early August) and I've been fortunate to get 2 DO acceptances so far (which I'm super grateful for). Having said that, I've also got 10 DO schools outstanding (of which 5 have put me on some variation of a pre-interview hold and the other 5 have been silent).

Essentially, I was wondering how likely it is to actually get an interview after your app has been sitting for this long. Do I still have a reasonable chance or are these apps effectively rejected at this point?

Sincerely,
TWoMS

I'm going to assume the two schools you got accepted into were not high on your list...what school are they if you don't mind me asking?

Not as uncommon as you might think, though they don’t lend you very good odds. By March you’re either interviewing for a waitlist spot or the school will only offer an acceptance to 1 or 2 of the entire interview group.
