Peds is DO friendly, but just curious about how competitive the pediatric sub specialties are for DOs? are there any that are very difficult to get?

The top five specialties in the percentage of positions filled by graduates of osteopathic medical schools are Sports Medicine (28.6%), Hospice and Palliative Medicine (21.2%), Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (19.2%), Pediatric Hospital Medicine (15.6%), and Pediatric Anesthesiology (14.0%).

Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine... Oooh boy...

Which sub specialties are you talking about? None of them are really that competitive, a lot of people actually take a pay cut to specialize because a general peds guy usually makes more than a peds specialist

Peds sports medicine looks quite higher than general just from a quick google search
