Hey,
I wanted to get a general feel of how competive it is to get into some of the top Psych residency programs in the nation like UPenn, Hopkins, MAss General etc......Unfortunately I have not done any research and wonder if that will be a major impediment. I did pretty good on the COMLEX and average on the USMLE step 1 ( 217 ). I know its a good idea to try and do electives at these places to get in a foot in the door, unfortuantely due to my school schedule of core rotations it doesnt like I will be able to do an elective until Novemebr and I know interview season is already underway. I am trying to work it out so I can get some earlier elective time.
If anyone has any input/advice on this issue Id greatly appreciate it

Even doing an audition rotation in November would help. Oftentimes, just being there gives you a freebie for an interview!
