So I'm really interested in gastro, especially since there are so many cool subspecialties within gastro itself and so much variety in the case load. I'm just wondering how competitive it is in Canada to land a gastro fellowship out of internal medicine? And what kind of things can I be doing in but undergrad med and IM residency to increase my chances of getting in? It seems like it's fairly competitive in the states...
