It's all about diversity. I got in with a 3.53 GPA at the time. I emphasized my rural upbringing and how I wished to come back to rural Nebraska to practice. They accept all different kinds of GPA. I have a friend who had a 4.0 and didn't get in because they didn't feel the program could, "improve his chances." I also have a friend who had a 4.0 and got in. It just depends. They give it to people who are sincere in their pursuit of medicine! Not someone who can get a 4.0 GPA. Really stress the your diversity, whatever that may be! Also, you apply to three schools during the application process. So you need to emphasize different things in order to look better to a particular school!
Best of luck. If you have any additional questions, feel free to inbox me.
