how did midwestern notify you for interview/rejection

a lot of people found out about interview at midwestern AZ through their online website (where supplemental app was submitted)... but do rejections also show up on that website? or will they email you to tell you you're rejected?

for people who got interviews, when was your AADSAS app mailed and when did you submit your supplemental app?

Rejections come from MWU via snail mail only.

I got an interview and was notified through the portal.. mailed out 7/9, supplemental sent out 7/14.

OP: Not to be rude but seriously though... you can't look at the last two pages of the interview invite thread and find this out yourself? This thread is kinda redundant..

These kinds of threads seem to be getting more and more abundant. People need to learn to do the research and work themselves...if they can't (or won't) they shouldn't be let in to dental school!

It's really sad that you think that because someone asked a question like this, they shouldn't be let into dental school. This site was created for people to ask all kinds of questions, including ones like this. How else do you expect the op to do "research?" Where is he going to look to see how MWU is contacting people about interviews/rejections?

I didn't say the OP shouldn't be let into dental school. I understand the question he was asking, it was legitimate. I was just agreeing with the other poster that the OP could have looked in the gigantic thread about interviews and school contact for this cycle which has all the info needed.

The comment about not being let into dental school was reserved for those people who make no effort whatsoever to find out basic information for themselves and rely upon others to do the work for them. (I've seen threads asking for an address of where to send application fees to schools...which is VERY easy to find, they obviously just don't want to look for themselves). I think those people are not mature enough to handle dental school let alone being a dentist.

i spend a lot of time on this website looking for information. and i did go through the interview invite thread to find information about midwestern rejections. but i couldn't find it so i asked this one question. sorry.

The Ops is obviously stressed out that they might be rejected and just wanted to conform info...and sometimes when you are stressed out even if something is right in front you, you might miss it. If you have the answer, just answer the question other wise just resist the urge to start beefin.

There are plenty of other treads for your amusement...

To the OP's original question, I'll give a clear answer. July 30 was my mail date. 7/27 was the date I submitted my secondary to MWU AZ. I never received any notification about being selected for an interview, no email, nothing. But on 8/12, I logged into MWU net and saw that I was invited for an interview. Was able to sign up on 8/13 when they opened up the Nov dates. Not sure about rejections.

Bottom line, log into their web site daily and check your status, their email notifications are lacking.

7/2 mail date, submitted secondary the 19th, notified of interview a week ago by checking MWU. I also never got the email, but I called them and they said if your able to access it online then your fine, nothing to worry about. From what i've read, denials are given through regular mail.

Anyways, to answer the question:

App mailed on 7/9...supplemental submitted on 7/14. Received invite on 8/10.

The MWU folks strike me as being really fast. I'm sure you won't have to wait long to find out if you're rejected. So no news is probably good news, hehe...

i interviewed there last year.....they send an email and they send you a letter.....lets put an end to it

i'm nervous too. i just want ONE interview (i know one interview won't guarantee me an acceptance but i'll feel better), and since midwestern AZ is the one school i applied to where sooo many people are hearing from lately... i'm nervous.

i just called them....i applied awhile ago as well...they told me that my app hasnt even been looked at yet....apparently they are interviewing for another program right now so they are holding up a bit......its ok....we're all stressed....the fact is this...its still really early

hmmm i have a hard time believing we have not yet been looked. Even students in later mailings have gotten interviews. how would that be fair in terms of rolling admissions? and based off of MWU interview invites threads, it looks like they are at late October/very early Nov dates already (see above post #9).

Yes you are right, it's still early overall, but it is definitely not early anymore for MWU.
