How did you decide which schools to apply to? I honestly picked the ones with the lowest averages since I don't have a great GPA/DAT. But I got asked that in an interview, and I'm guessing that's a bad answer. What would you say?

ADEA has a guide to all the dental schools. I would read through all the schools and consider one's that look into other factors than grades/DAT...there are some out there 😀

Geography, clinical experience, Board Scores, specialization rates, attrition rates and finances are all possible replies.

most important: look for schools that seem to take candidates similar to you, whether scores, experiences, hometown, etc. Also, a school you would go if accepted. Don't apply for safeties that you know you would not want to go.
