Hey fellow SDNers.....

I have started studying the PAT section And I don't quite know how I should go about understanding the fundamental techniques of how to solve the orthographic projections (front, end, lateral). What's a good source you guys used that REALLY helped you grasp that part of the PAT.

Does crack dat pat teach you the techniques for each section of the PAT?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

Wow, I totally need this......having such a hard time doing PAT section.
Is there any other threads about angle ranking, key hole, hole punching....etc?

Thanks in advance!

I am not one whom destroyed PAT (but I did earn a 20, which is optimal for all/most dental schools).

and like many of you, I did not have the "natural eye", my first ever practice score, I think (if I remember correctly) I ended up with 15-16 on Crack DAT PAT.

Honestly, I don't believe there is a "strategy" for any of its sections, it just requires practice. Your mind will naturally adapt to it. Go through a PAT test, then afterwoards, REVIEW every problem you missed, and spend a good deal of time stairing at every program you missed.... your mind will begin to map/coordinated to how this section works.

I started to notice changes in my PAT scores (from crack DAT pat) at about my 3rd test.... So improvements don't come fast.

And to answer one of the questions, No, Crack DAT PAT does NOT teach you. It gives you tests, you answer them, then it shows you correct answers so you can self-learn from mistakes.

Crack DAT PAT does not teach you, but if you do enough of the tests it will allow you to start teaching yourself. For myself, and most other people I have talked to, the only thing that really results in better scores is a significant amount of practice.

There are many different methods out there for each of the subsections of the PAT, which you probably found in that link above. In the end, it comes down to sifting through all of that advice and figuring out what works for you through doing a boatload of problems, analyzing mistakes, and determining how you can avoid those same mistakes in the future.

Best of luck, and keep grinding!

I went on youtube and learned different techniques from it and then used the KBB book using all the techniques to find out which ones help ME and which ones didnt. Also, the KBB has some good techniques as well. I am sure there is 1 or more techniques that will work for you for each "section" of the PAT.

Hey thanks for the link and the advice. I'm just gonna do what you guys suggest and just learn the techniques , apply what works for me, and take as many tests as possible. After each test I will study every question in order to better understand the flaws in my approaches. I'm gonna master the PAT Idc how long I have to bust my butt for 😛.

PS congrats on your 20 dental works. I'm jealous lol. Hope I can get that after test 100.
