How do I get to TUFTS?
Started by MBran
What's up everyone! Quick question...how do I get to Tufts from Logan International Airport, and how long does it take? Someone please break it down for me.
Thanks. 🙂
You can take the taxi which will get you to Tufts in about 15 minutes if theres no traffic (up to 25-30 minutes if heavy traffic). It'll cost you about 25-30 bucks for a taxi including tip. It's probably the simplest way to go if you don't mind spending a little cash. You can also try for the shuttle/subway service if you want to save some money. It'll only cost you less than two bucks for the subway. It'll take about 25-30 minutes to get to Tufts by subway. If you want to take the subway, PM me and I'll get you more specific directions. 🙂

If you want to be cheap ($4 roundtrip) and have time, take the T. Silver Line from Logan Airport to South Station. Transfer to the Red Line inbound to Downtown Crossing. Transfer to the Orange Line (going towards Forest Hills) and get off at the New England Medical Center stop, then walk a block. Sounds more complicated than it is, and should take between 30-45 minutes depending on the time of day.
Good Luck 👍

Well, looking from the Boston Subway Map. I figure take airport shuttle to the blue line. Interchange at state station to orange line and get off at New england Med (orange line). center. And ofcourse, looking at the map you can see if you need to go inbound or outbound.

So I just found a flight that gets into Logan airport at 6:50am...do you think I would be able to do this subway route and still make it to the school by 10:00am for the interview.
How do you guys do this; going to the interview straight for from the airport? I arrive in the city a day in advance, and leave 2 days after my interview.😛
I guess I have a lot of free time on my hands.

Or.....you could find the nearest crack head and pay him $0.50 to let you fly on his magic carpet with him.

You'd never make it to the interview though.

might wanna double check, but i thought interviews started at 9am. wouldn't want you to show up an hour late!

haha, yes you DO have a ton of time on your hands. i'm still in school so missing 4 days of the week would put me really behind. must be nice to have graduated in the spring and just chill waiting for dental school.
I always go a day in advance, spending an extra 80 on a hotel is not that big of an expense when you already spent 600 on airfare. Besides you won't care about the 80 if you get in, but you will wish you spent it if your interview goes bad.
