How do I make myself not appear like a med reject?

So I applied and was rejected from a an Early Assurance program to a med school earlier in college before I had explored dentistry and switched to premed. I think if the AADSAS asks, I'm going to be honest and explain that I have applied once (although not in a regular cycle).

Could you guys suggest ways in which I wouldn't appear as a med reject rather than as a late switcher to dentistry?

I have the grades: ~3.9 cGPA and sGPA so it's not like I am academically incapable of getting into med school. How much is this going to hurt me?🙁

I don't know if you have to say anything though? I interviewed for Guaranteed Admissions at Pitt Med during high school, and was told by my advisor that it didn't need to be written on my AADSAS application. Though maybe it's different because mine wasn't even a formal application process, they just sent me a letter asking if I wanted to interview based on my application to the university.

its really simple..... People change their mind all the time.

For example, I was a software engineer, now i am in dental school. I wasn't rejected from I.T, I simply switched cause I liked dentistry better.

Have you taken MCAT yet? Cause I thought some of those assurance programs are for high school students... and I which case, I wouldn't specify this in AADSAS, its not really a medical application

Exactly. Find out if you even have to mention this, first off.

I haven't taken the MCAT. I applied sophomore year to an Early Assurance program. Basically if they accepted you, you would apply via the regular application for an auto-accept from their school. It was non-binding and you were free to turn down the offer and apply to other schools.

To the regulars who keep answering my questions, thank you so much! I've learned so much from you guys.
