So I read through many of the old posts and they say study the ACS study guide. I have the study guide right in front of me. As I'm doing the practice I am getting a bunch right without actually knowing what I'm doing. It's not making me feel anymore confident. Should I restudy everything from the textbook on every subject in the study guide? I forgot a lot of the stuff from Organic chemistry 1 and there are a lot of stuff I never heard of. I have 1 week till the final. I need to do well on this!

The ACS study guide is mostly useful for getting a feel for the style of the test -- it doesn't really review the material. If you've forgotten a lot of the material from the first semester, then yeah, you will probably need to review from the textbook + your course notes. Are there patterns in the things that you have never heard of?

Not necessarily patterns it's just every section there are a couple of things I don't recognize. I'm gonna go over the textbook. Any tips or tricks I should know of?

Do ALL the questions in the ACS study guide. It'll be you & the Phoenix for a majority of the review. As you're going through, review the material for the questions that you get wrong if you feel the need.

Also, if there are topics/questions on the guide that you know weren't covered in lecture, visit your prof and ask. They might count for extra credit if they show up on the actual ACS final (if you're lucky...). Good luck!

Also also, I wouldn't waste time going through the whole class textbook. You have a limited amount of time to review. No sense in going over topics that you know at this point.

Alright. I might briefly review each section in the textbook before going to answer the questions. After I answer them the ones I still don't understand I will spend more time on. I'm going to try and get through the entire book in a week!

Learn the way ACS likes to ask questions by doing as many ACS book questions as u can. That's all.
