How do incomplete grades that later get a grade show up on amcas?

How does it show on your official transcript? I believe if your transcript lists it twice, once as an I and once as a B+ or whatever, you enter it twice.

Only the grade shows up. But the AMCAS manual says this:

The reason I am confused is that it is saying that if your class is INCOMPLETE at the time of submission no grade will be calculated into AMCAS but if it is resolved then an F will be assigned? I am guessing they are referring to the fact that if the work wasn't made up on time.

If you get an inc you get a set amount of time to complete the work and if you do you're fine and the temporary INC gets changed to the grade you earned.

It shows up as the final grade you were given, but you have to check a little box that says incomplete and that notation will show up next to it. Not sure how schools take it, but I did get an II from an AMCAS school (I applied mostly TMDSAS) with a few of these on my transcript, so I don't think it will hurt you too much.

Ok, so I think it works like this.

If you haven't completed at the normal time, maybe for a perfectly valid reason like an injury, it's listed as Incomplete at semester end. If you apply right then, nothing goes into GPA.
Eventually it will be resolved, either as a Fail grade or as a letter (so either an F/IF or a B+ or whatever).

So I think you will enter your case as Incomplete but with a B+ or whatever, and it will get calculated in as a B+ or whatever.
