If an answer to this question is already posted please link me to the site, otherwise can someone answer this question for me:

so on ADEA AADSAS you can upload up to 4 recommendation letters (correct me if I'm wrong). and since most schools require 4 or less, I can choose from the uploaded 4. But let's say I uploaded science science academic and dentist rec letters. And I want to apply to say Loma Linda which requires a rec letter from a religious leader. Am I not allowed to apply to this school now? How would I go about this?

i remember the religious leader can email or fax the letter directly to the school.

It is actually a lot easier than it seems. When you are filling out your application, you have 4 spots to request letters like you mentioned above. Most schools typically require 3 letters, one from a bio teacher, one from a different science teacher (chem, physics, etc.) and one from a dentist that you shadowed. The 4th slot is typically anyone you choose. Schools that require specialty letters, such as Loma Linda, have their own application website (where you fill out the supplemental) that will give you detailed directions on how to submit a letter from a religious leader through their website. You can however choose to place that letter as your 4th on AADSAS if you don't have anyone else. I chose to use my undergrad advisor as my fourth just because I knew her so well. So I had a letter from: 1 Chem teacher, 1 anatomy teacher (satisfies bio), 1 dentist, and my advisor. I then used LLU's portal to submit a religious letter. I applied to 18 schools and this combo satisfied everyone's letter requirements (w/ the exception of LLU). The key though is to pay close attention and do things right the first time. For example tufts website clearly says that your letter from the dentist MUST include how many hours you shadowed him or her. So just tell the Doctor before they write and you will be good. Pay attention to details!

Oh and you don't 'choose' which of the four get sent out, the ones that pertain to each school automatically get selected and sent out. Just submit 4 letters and let AADSAS do the rest.
