How do practice test compare to the real test?

Hi,

I have taken 2 Kaplan practice tests from the Kaplan 2010 book and am going to take the online practice test on www.ada.org website. How do these compare with the real test? Are scores similar? Is the real OAT harder or easier than either of these practice tests? Any answers would be greatly appreciated as I am taking the OAT in a week from today. Thanks!

Kaplan was pretty similar. They design it to be the same, or as close as possible to it.

I thought Kaplan tests were easier than the real thing. Destroyer questions much harder than the real thing. The online OAT Achiever was pretty accurate on my scores. I didn't take the ADA test. hope that helped!

Were you able to find the online practice test from the ADA website? Is it the 2006 pdf one? I remember reading somewhere/being told that there was an actual ONLINE practice one...But I can't seem to find it.

physics,reading and chem much easier, orgo is a bit easier, bio and math are much more difficult

That was exactly my experience as well.

Structure and template wise, very similar. It will definitely get you used to the computer setting.
Bio questions were very different from Kaplan's bio questions.
Ochem was harder for me on the real one than Kaplan's
Chem and Physics were much easier on the OAT
the real oat math was quite challenging. Some of Kaplan's math practice tests were very hard while others were very easy.
