I am retaking the DAT in June. On Topscore i am recieving scores that are consistently around the scores below:

Bio 17-18
cem 15
orgo 17

PAT 20-21

Read 18-20
Math 18

I think that Cem is way harder on these practice tests than the real thing. What does everyone else thiink? My goal is recieve a score around (19, 19, 20). Do i seem like i'll be fine in a couple weeks when i take the actual test? 😕 Thanks for the input

for the bio i was getting a 16 in topscore without zoology or human anatomy/physiology. focus more in bio and general chemistry and math.

from what I've read around here, it seems like most people score very similarly to their topscore scores.. usually a point or 2 higher in most areas though.

Thanks for the advice. It's good to hear my bio and PAT studying time is paying off. However, I still think the Gen cem is way harder on Topscore though. I've taken the Real DAT and scored a 19 on it for Cem easily. The questions are far more basic and less calculations are needed.

GRE is good for practice

Scores look good. I hear you go up a point or two in every section, so I'd keep studying and do some more review for bio, gchem, and ochem. You should shoot ofr probably around a 19 in Topscore.

When I took the DAT last year, I got an old algebra book from like 9th grade and studied that like crazy. It was good practice because I forgot how to do a lot of that stuff from taking calc!

:luck:

Your practice test scores really aren't too bad. Just to reiterate what everyone else has been saying, I found that topscore was more difficult than the real thing also (especially the science sections).

Have you tried using flashcards for Biology facts? I found it really helpful to write questions on one side of the card and answers on the back. I took the Kaplan course, so they came with some flashcards...but I added a bunch more to them.

For me, I think the key to Chem was just practicing doing the problems quickly! so just nail those formulas down and keep practicing. I'm confident you'll be fine.

Anyways, all the best to you.

why are you saying topscore science section is harder in real dat? i am sure the biology section in topscore is easier than the real dat. the practice dat's biology section had harder questions.

i Just bought some flashcards from SPARKNOTES and found that they provide a good summary for bio. I am just worried the bio on the real DAT will be alot harder than topscore. I dont want to get anything lower than a 17. I THINK my PAT is where it should be. I just need to really cram these last couple weeks
