How do they grade RC part? I am confused

I just took a look at score conversion sheet. I saw in order to get a 29 on RC part, I just need to answer 17 questions correct. I am kind of confused. Do they just randomly pick 20 questions to grade? I have my DAT in 2 days, please help.

That range you see is the number you got correct divided by 3, I had the same trouble as you, but I figure it out.😀

the particular scale your talking about is used for a shortened version of the RC section which has less than 50 questions. the normal scale is out of 50 questions so there is no need to divide any numbers by three. you can use the shortened scale and divide by three if you dont have access to the normal scale...but you may be left having to guess and round numbers like in your case

honestly i wouldnt sweat over that one point in a practice test....
