How do they score the writing sample?

I know, like, three people read it and each give it a score between 1-6... or something like that.

So how do the numbers they give you correspond with the letter you get? I have no idea, and even though the writing sample doesn't mean anything to anyone, I'm still kind of curious.

4 monkeys use their own feces to write down a random number for each essay, these are added up and broken down by percentiles and assigned a letter. This explains why they make no sense.

ah, now i see. it sounds confusing, but when you think about it, it really makes a lot of sense. 😛
 
The monkey thing is true, mostly, except they actually only use two monkeys - and then from there, they add the two scores from the two monkeys and this total corresponds to the letter J - T -

so like 2-12 corresponds to J - T - I think - at least that is what I tell the kids at Kaplan. :meanie:
