How do you dep well in OMM practicals?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think OMM practicals should be pass/fail, but baring that, at least have the ability to appeal to the main course director to rewatch your round. I am not a fan of professors who are antagonist towards students cause they think everyone is goofing off. Make OMM more enjoyable and more people would do it.

My OMM practicals are now pass/fail for 2nd year. It is infinitely better than being graded, and far less of a time sink.

Fake it til you make it. That's it. Get the diagnosis (even it it's straight out from where the sun don't shine) and treat it properly... unless the diagnosis is like VERY obvious.

We're getting ready to start Chapman's Points next week.

I'm getting all of my eye rolling done this weekend before lecture.

We have a single professor like that. The real problem is that if you get below an 80 at any station you have to come back at another time and redo it, but you keep your original grade. It's a huge time sink and problem all based on who happens to grade your practical.

This is what makes me nervous about second year. Apparently the diagnostic aspect is very subjective at our school. Oh well I've just embraced the suck.

Yeah this is a big issue at our school and the faculty miss the point entirely. They don't understand that being an ass means no one will do omm and that being subjective means even more frustration. It must be hard to be so dense and out of touch.

Yep, from second years the only way to survive is to just ignore it and do well in the other stations\exams because it just isn't going to change. The school doesn't realize it is contributing to the death of omm. Frankly I don't care. Let the lack of science and laughter die.
